The dish or satellite antenna should be located on an area that can receive satellite signals for the television programming. An RV satellite dish helps track and locate satellite signals automatically even when driving on the road. It works on the same principles just like other satellite dishes. It gathers weak signals from the satellite circling in the clouds and amplifies it before sending to the receiver. Apparently, there are some satellite systems that use multiple headed signals to allow the use of two satellites at a time. The dish antenna can be mounted to bracket that is adjustable. This will allow changing the elevation of the dish as well as its azimuth.
To receive satellite signals, the RV satellite dish must be anchored or mounted firmly and pointed in the accurate direction. There are many ways on how to anchor or mount the satellite dish. One of these ways is mounting the satellite dish on the roof as this will make it more wind resistant and stable. In this way, the satellite dish will also be less accessible for those who want to tamper it. Some satellite dish can be set up on tripods; however the possibility of getting stolen is always there. Although this rarely happens, you must still anticipate it.
A RV satellite dish that is roof mounted is useful in all situations. However, the only problem that you care about to encounter on this method, is the trees. Spot an area on your roof where there is no blocking of trees as this will make the satellite signals weak. If you are to use tripods for the mounting of satellite dish, ensure that you have extra cables in able to reach the open area for satellite signals. However, if the tripods are to be used in camping situation, anchoring it on the ground will be a good idea to avoid being blown over.
